It is thought that by studying number patterns in our daily lives, we may better comprehend the world around us, according to the discipline of numerology. This spiritual practice can assist people in better understanding their inner world. Anyone may find their Life Path number, a single-digit number that is believed to indicate who you are, your innermost values, and the obstacles you may encounter, using a simple calculation.
Your full date of birth is used to calculate your Life Path Number. We first decrease your Day, Month, and Year to single-digit values before adding the three numbers together to determine your Life Path. If the total is a double-digit number (10 or more), you must decrease it to a single-digit Life Path Number once more.
It’s important to note that if you come across a Master Number (11, 22 or 33) throughout the computation, you don’t need to lower it anymore.
Here is an example of how you could calculate your life path number if you were born on the 19th February 1988 –
- Take your date of birth and decrease each of the months, days, and years to a single digit number individually.
For our example, February 19, 1988…
February is the second month of the year, so that is a 2 and the rest are added up individually
1+9 = 10 which can be added further to 1+0 = 1
1+9+8+8 = 26 which can be reduced further to 2+6 = 8
2. To determine your Life Path number, add these three digits together.
2 + 1 + 8 = 11
3. To achieve your final single-digit base value, you may need to decrease the number again.
So 11 could become 1+1=2 but 11 is a master number so we don’t need to reduce it further.
If you’re unfamiliar with numerology but are familiar with astrology, numerologist Felicia Bender recommends thinking of it as a reflection of both your personality, and it can also reveal what your life’s bigger mission will be.
